How to Become a Successful Freelancer on Upwork in 2022
Well, I am back with another Upwork guide.
I posted a guide for people on how to become successful on Upwork back in 2020, it is still, to date, my most successful post on Medium. However, a LOT has changed on Upwork since then, so I think it’s time for a little update on that article.

At this point, anyone reading this will already know what Upwork is, so I am not going to write about how it works, what connects are, etc. This is going to be a long checklist of things you should cover once you are on the platform.
Why should you listen to me? I have been on Upwork for over 4 years (with breaks here and there) and below are my earnings. I have been at a ‘Top Rated Plus’ status since the badges came out and I have had 100% job success.
(None of that is a flex, it’s to prove I am not one of these writers just making up content for views. I also work incredibly hard to maintain my success).
