There comes a time in every travellers life when they will go on an epic road trip. A road trip doesn’t have to last weeks, you could have a road trip in one day or over 3 months. I have been on countless road trips throughout my travels which have involved taking a campervan through the outback in Australia, driving a jeep around Iceland in winter, driving through the Alps in Switzerland, and so many more. Throughout these experiences, I have picked up on certain tips and tricks that would be useful to share to make your road trip experience better.

In my opinion, a road trip is an epic way to see a country. If done right, you can make it cost-effective and select a route that would allow you to see parts of a country that not many people get to see. Another benefit of a road trip for me is that you can pull over anywhere you like (within the laws of the road obviously). If you take a tour with a company or a bus/train, for example, you will never have the freedom to stop when you want. Some of the best experiences I have had when travelling have come from pulling over at random places on a road trip.
