9 Ways to Give a Great Client Experience as a Freelancer
I have been freelancing for over 5 years now, most of my clients coming from referrals of other clients. It only takes one client with multiple connections, and you could be set up with years worth of work. But the key to get client referrals is to provide a great client experience.
Now I know that when you freelance, some clients can be on the, let’s say, difficult side. But unfortunately, you are going to have to get over that and provide a top-class experience regardless.
Obviously, if you are dealing with a client who is stepping over the boundary and being rude or has unrealistic expectations, then you need to deal with that professionally and move on.
Before I get into things, it’s important to understand that a client experience starts from the moment they encounter you, whether that’s your profile, in-person, or via email. It doesn’t just apply when you have successfully started working with a client.
Throughout this article, ‘client’ will be referred to as both an individual and as a business, because you can be a freelancer but still work for a company.

This is a no-brainer really, but if you are a newbie to the freelancing world, then you need to understand why it’s essential to create a good experience for your clients:
